The Lionel 6-21944 R2R O-27 Christmas Set with Musical Box Car is brand new in the original box. It is a Lionel Ready to Run Steam Set and a great Christmas Theme train to accent your Christmas tree decorations. The engine has a precision can motor, die-cast metal locomotive body, choo-choo smoking unit, operating whistle and working headlight. It is controlled with a 40-watt/3 amp power and control system. The transformer controls steam engine motion, forward-neutral-reverse. The Musical Box Car plays some of your familiar Christmas songs as well. The complete new set also contains a pine tree load, stamp metal frame on tender, colorful holiday train cars, and a 27" X 63" oval of track to run the train set under and around your Christmas tree. The set comes in the original storage box measuring 27" X 17" X 7" and weights about 15 pounds. The steamer has never been run or seen on the tracks. The 8970/71 Pennsylvania Railroad F3 AA engine and dummy diesel set with five Passenger Cars is considered one of the most attractive aluminum sets ever made by Lionel. The Diesel set was produced in 1979-80, and an earlier version was manufactured from 1955 to 1960. The Tuscan Red F3 AA is brand new in the original box and never seen operation on the track. The diesel houses dual motors, traction tires, AA operating headlights, operating knuckle couplers, and complete decals. The five beautiful aluminum cars are also brand new and in their original boxes. The boxes show some minor storage wear and fading after 20 years. This set is a real beauty for the collector as well as the operator. $950.00
